November is coming to a close
November is one of my favorite months of the year. It's the 11th month, it's (in most parts of the world) the beginning of winter, it kicks off a new Presidents (every 4 years), it signifies the start of the Holidays-- which if you're in school means a break is right around the bend-- and in Alaska it's the start of ski/snowboard season. What's not to like?
Here are some of my November highlights:
(
(tasted much better than it looks here)
Homemade Thanksgiving pies (which were actually pretty good)!
A lovely snowy desk view and the first BIG snow of the year.
A few New Reads, which are warmly welcome as most of my books are still in Portland.
And best of all: a new puppy. Lars (named after Dutch author, Hans de Beer's Littlest Polar Bear, Lars-- who he looks just like. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Little_Polar_Bear)
